Husson Invitational
September 13, 2025 - Notice to Competitors.
The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play, except as modified by the following local rules.
FORMAT: 18-Hole Medal Play.
Men play from BLUE Markers and Women play from WHITE markers.
PREFERRED LIE: In your own fairway, you may take a preferred lie. After marking its position on the course, you may lift the ball, clean it, and place it within one club-length of the original spot no nearer the hole
OUT OF BOUNDS: Defined by inside points, at ground level, of white stakes and fences. White stakes: Holes 2, 10, behind 15 green and left side and behind 18 green. Fences: 3, 4, 5, 12 behind 14 & 17 greens. Any ball which crosses a public road defined as out of bounds and coming to rest on another part of the course is considered out of bounds.
PENALTY AREAS: Penalty areas will be defined by yellow or red stakes and/or lines. Where marked, lines will define the penalty area and stakes identify the penalty area.
GROUND UNDER REPAIR: White encircled areas and French drains. GUR may include areas of unusual damage including, but not limited to, deep tire ruts, and animal diggings. Hole #15 – Players whose ball comes to rest in the GUR associated with the new bunker construction on hole 15 may either utilize a drop zone (if present) or drop a ball in play at the nearest point of relief no nearer the hole.
RANGE NET: During the play of hole 5, if the protective fence is on a player’s line of play, or interferes with the players stance or swing, the player may take free relief by dropping a ball in and playing it from the drop zone located adjacent to the net pole nearest number 5 tee
BUNKERS: Stones in bunkers are considered loose impediments and may be removed.
PRACTICE: Prior to the stipulated round, a player may practice on the designated practice areas. These include the two practice greens, the driving range, and the short game facility.
DISCONTINUANCE OF PLAY: Rule 5-7: In potentially dangerous situations play MUST be discontinued immediately following a notification from the committee. Play will be stopped for one long blast of an airhorn.
PACE OF PLAY: In accordance with the BMGC pace of play policy, groups must play in less than 4 hours and 15 minutes for this event.
CLOSE OF COMPETITION: The competition is deemed to have closed when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the Committee.
